We’re on the countdown now to one of the biggest days in the Irish calendar – St Patrick’s Day and with the growing demand for Irish artisan food across the US, food events like these are popping up across the country. We’re delighted to be associated with Fare Plate in NYC. We’re one of the sponsors of this celebration of quality Irish artisanal food and drink. Obviously, it’s right up our street. Irish and Artisan are our buzzwords after all.
The location is one of the best in the Big Apple; the Refinery Rooftop. Hundreds will gather there for the event on Saturday 12 March between 4-8pm.
There will be food stations, VIP talks, tastings and demos. Think true tastes of Ireland like Irish Cream Liqueur, Whiskey, Cheese, Butter, Beef, Chutney, Artisanal Bread, Honey and Chocolate.
“Fareplate is a must-visit event from our point of view” says Irish Taste Club Founder, JP Egan
“It’s a great example of the increasing awareness and demand for high quality Irish food in the US.”
We’re really excited that our friend and author, Imen McDonnell will be launching her Farmette Cookbook at the event. She’ll be giving a talk on what it was like to move from the US to a farm in Tipperary. Her book is a mix of the recipes she brought with her and those she learned in Ireland, including a few classics from her mother-in-law Peggy.
Get your ticket at www.fareplate.com and we will see you there, we hope!
